LOCATION NOTES
Namibia – the country that fuelled my love for photography and shaped my journey more than any other. When the world stood still in 2021, I spent five weeks travelling across Namibia. It was a place of extremes: extraordinary wildlife encounters, vast and shifting landscapes, and cultures deeply rooted in their environment. I remember driving for hours without seeing another car, just gravel roads cutting through shifting colours of earth and sky.
What stayed with me most was this sense of scale – both in the landscapes but also in time itself. Dead trees standing in Deadvlei for centuries, their black silhouettes unchanged against the dunes, and a heard of elephants moving slowly across a dry riverbed, following paths that have existed long before any road was drawn on a map. Photographing here felt like learning to observe the silence around me differently.
