South Africa is more than a place to me – it is a part of who I am. Being my place of birth, there’s a sense of connection that goes beyond what I can fully explain. It’s in the familiarity of the landscapes, but even more in the people – their openness, their warmth, their joy.
Here, everything feels within reach. Nature is never far away – coastlines, mountains, wildlife – always just a short distance from everyday life. It shapes the rhythm of how people live, a lifestyle that feels grounded and closely tied to the environment. Photographing here feels like reconnecting with my roots and learning to see it with fresh eyes.
